WAVERLY, Iowa-- Senior Adrienne Boettger (Cedar Falls) had a career-high 24 points and was a perfect 12-12 from the field as the No. 15/18 Wartburg women's basketball team (3-1 overall) defeated Beloit (0-1) 76-56 Saturday.
Boettger's previous mark was 16 points set against Carroll at Cornell's Classic earlier this season.
Two fellow Knights, junior Amanda Brainerd (DeWitt) and sophomore Tori Hazard (Janesville) joined her in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Hazard recorded her first double-double of the season with a career-high 10 rebounds.
The Orange and Black led 18-13 after the first quarter, and 36-29 at halftime. Wartburg began to build its lead to double digits in the first four minutes of the third quarter. The Knights would maintain a double figure margin for the duration of the fourth quarter.
The Orange and Black owned the team advantages in field goal percentage, free throw percentage, assists, blocks, steals, and rebounds.
Wartburg returns to the court Wednesday when it hosts Simpson at 6 p.m. in the American Rivers Conference opener.
