LYNCHBURG, Va.--- The Wartburg women's lacrosse team (2-1 overall) was able to hold on for the 14-13 win over Randolph (0-3) Wednesday. The WildCats compiled a late rally with three goals in the last two and a half minutes to slice the margin to one with a successful free position shot with 39 seconds remaining.

Senior Allie Stahmer (Chicago) caused a turnover with 0:11 to play and ran the length of the field to run out the clock and halt Randolph's rally.

Junior Ashlyn Jelinek (Stillwater, Minn.) scored a career-high five goals. Freshman Bri Greiskalns (Oakdale, Minn.) accounted for three goals and two assists while Stahmer finished with three goals.
