MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Wartburg College Knights will travel to face Augsburg University on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
The Knights (4-3 overall), coached by Tiffany Pins, are coming off of a big 1-0 win over the No. 24 ranked Carleton College Knights on Sunday. Senior forward
Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) scored the game winning goal off of a
Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) assist in the game's 80
th minute. On the season, the Knights have been led in scoring by Adair with four goals scored.
The Augsburg Auggies (3-3) are coming off of a 2-1 overtime victory against Bethel University on Saturday. The Auggies are coached by Mike Navarre, who is coaching his 20
th season with Augsburg. In that time span, Navarre has a career record of 189-123-42. The Auggies are led in scoring by Ashley St. Aubin with six goals on 37 shot attempts.
The Auggies and Knights have met a total of eight times throughout their program's histories, with the Auggies getting the better of the Knights with a record of 4-3-1 in those matches. The last time the two teams faced one another was on Sept. 3, 2017, where the Knights posted a 2-0 victory.
