ST. PETER, Minn. – The Wartburg Knights women's soccer team will travel north of the state border to take on Gustavus Adolphus College (2-1 overall) in a match scheduled for this Sunday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m.
The Knights (2-1 overall) are coming off of an overtime loss to the College of Saint Benedict on Saturday, Sept. 8, while the Golden Gusties are coming off of a 1-0 victory versus Nebraska Wesleyan.
The Knights and Golden Gusties have met 10 times throughout the programs' storied histories, with Gustavus holding an 8-2 all-time series lead. The last time these two teams faced one another was on Oct. 16, 2018, in a 3-0 Wartburg victory. While Gustavus has historically owned the series, Wartburg has won the past two matches and will be seeking a third-straight victory this Sunday.
