WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg men's soccer team fell to Loras 2-1 in double overtime.
After a scoreless first half, Wartburg responded with
Max Siade-Cox scoring the lone goal for the Knights at the 54-minute mark with an assist from
Edvin Rizvic.
With 40 seconds in the game, Loras scored a goal, tying the game and sending the match into overtime.
The Orange and Black's defense prevented the Duhawks from scoring in the first overtime, but Loras made the game-winning goal at the 105-minute.
Loras outshot the Knights 20-14 and also had a 5-2 corner kick advantage.
Wartburg will head to Central on Saturday, Oct. 19 to face the Dutch.
