CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference announced its weekly performers of the week Monday, Oct. 21, with five Wartburg student-athletes recognized including the Female Athlete of the Week honor awarded to Volleyball's Kylie Bildstein. 

Bildstein earns Female Athlete of the Week and Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week laurels after helping the Knights capture at least a share of a fifth consecutive regular season conference championship with wins over Coe and Loras. Her second weekly conference honor on the year, the Dyersville native tallied 30 kills, averaging 3.33 per set along with a .383 attacking percentage. She leads the conference with a .353 hitting percentage and leads with 93 total blocks, averaging 1.13 per set.

Katie Foster earned Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the fifth time this season, averaging 6.11 digs per set with a total of 55 digs during the pair of Knights victories. Foster leads NCAA Division III with 623 digs on the year. 

Sophomore defender of Waverly Sarah Campbell notched two assists while Wartburg women's soccer earned a pair of conference wins over Loras and Central on the week en route to garnering her second A-R-C accolade on the season. Campbell leads the Knights and ranks tied for fourth in the conference with seven helpers in 2019. 

Wartburg football junior defensive back Eli Barrett of Denver, Iowa, received his first career Defensive Player of the Week award, pacing the Knights' defense with 13 tackles (8 solo) during the road victory at Simpson on Saturday. 

Joe Freiburger led men's cross country at the Kollege Town Invite in Winneconne, Wis. on Friday to a third place finish of 37 teams, finishing ahead of No. 4 WashU and No. 10 University of Chicago. Freiburger took third place of 452 total runners with a career-best 8k time of 24:54.1, earning his third A-R-C runner of the week award this fall.
