WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg women's soccer team had a 7-0 victory over Buena Vista Saturday afternoon at home.
Starting off the Knights victory at the 24-minute mark,
Annie Place scored the first goal of the game and her second of the season. Less than a minute later,
Kate Luers scored another goal for the Orange and Black, tallying her 10th goal.
Gabby Corday ended the first half with goal off an assist by a corner kick by
Sarah Campbell, giving the Knights a 3-0 lead.
Starting off the second half,
Kara Dobbs scored her first goal of the season at the 42-minute mark. Several minutes later,
Kate Luers tallied her 11th goal of the season.
Gabby Rohrer scored her second goal of the season at the 70-minute mark. Eleven minutes later
McKenna Major scored her first goal of the season giving the Knights a 7-0 victory.Â
Wartburg outshot Buena Vista 26-0 and had an 11-0 corner kick advantage.
The Knights host Dubuque on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at home.
