WAVERLY, Iowa-- Fittingly on Senior Day, senior Adrienne Boettger (Cedar Falls) had a double double with 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the 95-56 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan Saturday. This was her second double-double of the season.
With the win, the No. 15/16 Knights completed the season sweep of the Prairie Wolves and earned their 20th win of the season. The Orange and Black reached the 20-win echelon for the fourth-straight season.
All 17 players that dressed saw playing time on the day.
Three fellow Wartburg players tallied in double digits as sophomore Ally Conrad (Cedar Falls) had 11 points, and sophomores Kaitlyn Volesky (Mount Vernon) and Tori Hazard (Janesville) each had 10.
The Knights led 30-9 at the end of the first quarter and continued to push their lead in the second. The Orange and Black led 54-19 at halftime.
In the second half, Wartburg led by as many as 48 points.
The Knights held the advantage in all three team shooting percentage categories, rebounds (50-27), assists (27-10), blocks (4-1), and steals (13-8).
The Orange and Black return to the court Wednesday when they host Buena Vista at 6 p.m.
