WAVERLY, Iowa – The Wartburg volleyball team is starting off its 2019 season traveling to the Hope College Invite in Holland, Mich. Aug. 30-31. The Knights are scheduled to play Hope College, Wisconsin Lutheran and Bluffton University.
Following the Hope Invite, the Orange and Black are also competing in the Loras Tournament Sept. 6-7, the Knights Classic Sept. 13-14, the Central Invite Sept. 20-21, the Augustana (Ill.) Triangular Sept. 27-28, and the Wartburg Invitational Nov. 2. American Rivers Conference action begins at Luther College Sept. 18.
Coach Jennifer Walker is going into her 22nd season and is returning All-Conference players Kylie Bildstein, Katie Foster and Jayme Willemssen. In addition, the Knights are welcoming in 12 newcomers.
The Knights ended their 2018 season with an 18-12 overall record, finishing first in the A-R-C with a mark of 7-1.
