A-R-C TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH
Tuesday's matchup will stand as a rematch of last year's conference tournament championship match. It was the first time in the all-time series that the two teams met in a conference tournament title match. The Spartans bested the Knights 3-1 last November at Levick Arena, negating Wartburg from the NCAA Tournament for the first time in three seasons. Wartburg leads the all-time series 44-37.
FOSTER NAMED A-R-C DEFENSIVE POTW FOR THIRD-STRAIGHT WEEK
Junior Katie Foster was named named A-R-C defensive player of the week for a third week in a row on Monday. She once again led the Wartburg defense during a 4-1 week, including a sweep at Luther during the conference opener on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Foster totaled 113 digs in 18 sets played, averaging 6.28 per set, including 34 in the tight loss to Bethel on Friday, Sept. 20, one of four matches at the Central Invite. She ranks first in NCAA Division III with 387 digs in 66 sets played, averaging 5.86 per set.
WARTBURG
- Katie Foster leads the nation with 387 total digs.
- Wartburg leads the nation 150.5 total blocks, led by Kylie Bildstein - who ranks eighth in NCAA Division III and first in the A-R-C with 1.24 per set.
- The Knights went 3-1 at the Central Invite over the weekend. Foster and Claire Marsh were named to the All-Tournament Team.
DUBUQUE
- The Spartans opened A-R-C action with a 3-1 loss at Coe College last Wednesday, and are 8-5 overall.
- Kara Wright leads the team with 128 kills, averaging 2.78 per set.
- As a team, Dubuque leads the conference with 19.23 digs per set, led by Grace Strawser (5.75 per set)
