CLERMONT, Fla. - The Wartburg softball team dropped a 7-2 matchup versus the College of Saint Benedict prior to an 11-0 shutout over Chatham University on Monday during day two of its spring break trip.

The Knights tallied five hits while 12 CSB hits during their first loss of the season.
After a pair of scoreless first two innings, Saint Benedict scored runs in five-straight innings, including two-run third and seventh innings.
Wartburg scored runs in the fourth and six innings, with the sole RBI single coming from
Jenna Levine.
Maddie Rog suffered the loss in the pitcher's circle, allowing five runs in six innings.
Wartburg 11, Chatham 0 (5 inn.)
The Orange & Black broke out for 17 hits during the night cap, limiting just four Chatham hits during the shutout.
Madison Hiestand improved her record to 3-1 on the season, throwing a five-inning shutout.
Four Knights recorded multi-hit performances, led by a 3-for-3 game from
Leah Campos and a 4 RBI 2-2 game with a homer from Levine.
Wartburg, now 3-1 overall, plays Johnson & Wales and John Carroll University tomorrow.
