WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Wartburg baseball team finished up its spring trip competition on Saturday, March 7, defeating Lesley University 11-0.
The Knights, now 9-1 overall, went 7-1 during its spring trip at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational March 1-7.
Wartburg tied a season-high with 15 hits, in which the Knights also accumulated against Neumann and Chatham during their Florida games.
Six Knights recorded multi-hit performances, including three-hit games from
Parker Ridge and
Ben DeKruyf.
Leading 4-0, the Orange & Black broke open the game with seven runs in the sixth inning to solidify the victory, scoring six runs off RBI singles.
Manny Jeffery and
Baylor Bedard combined for the shutout on the mound, Jeffery earning the win with six scoreless innings pitched.
