LEXINGTON, KY—Continuing their climb up the national poll, the Wartburg Knights Volleyball team has jumped up two spots in this week's
AVCA rankings to No. 5.
The Knights (20-0, 4-0 A-R-C) defeated No. 17 Northwestern (Minn.) in five sets last week. The Knights dropped the first set before bouncing back to win the next two sets. The Eagles of Northwestern forced a fifth set, tying the match at 2-2. The Knights finished the job in St. Paul, taking the fifth set by five points.
As of Oct. 11, the Knights are one of six teams in the nation, including No. 1 Johns Hopkins.
The Knights host conference opponent Loras on Oct. 13. First serve is set for 7:30 p.m. inside Levick Arena.
