WAVERLY, IA— Jordan Downing was named to the D3football team of the week following an impressive defensive performance in Wartburg's win over Dubuque, 27-7.

Downing had six tackles, four and a half tackles-for-loss, four and a half sacks, and one forced fumble.

The Knights defense limited Dubuque to -20 rushing yards on 22 carries for the day. Prior to the game, Dubuque averaged 174 rushing yards per game and 4.4 yards per rush attempt.

The Knights look to continue their three-game winning streak as they travel to Buena Vista on Saturday, Oct. 30 for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
