WAVERLY, IA—Katie Foster and
Kylie Bildstein continue to add accolades to their senior careers at Wartburg College as the duo were named to the CoSIDA 2021 Academic All‐District® Women's Volleyball Team.
Foster, a 3.80 public health major, was the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Region 9 Player of the Year. The Charles City native recorded 636 digs this season (6.06 per set) and had 33 service aces. Foster was named to the First-Team AVCA All-America team and was the Defensive Player of the Year in the A-R-C.
Bildstein, a 3.95 business administration major, was named to the Second Team AVCA All-America. A native of Dyersville, IA, Bildstein led the team with 3.7 points per set while hitting .421. Bildstein lead the American Rivers Conference in total blocks, blocks per set, and hitting percentage, placing her fifth in the nation. Bildstein was named the league's Most Valuable Player for the 2021 season.
The 2021 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
