Peth Collects 600 Career Wins

WAVERLY, Iowa—Wartburg College head men's basketball coach Dick Peth reached a career milestone on Dec. 9, 2021, collecting his 600th career win as a head coach.
 
The Knights defeated the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 82-70, finishing the game on a 10-3 run. The Knights went on to defeat Simpson College to remain unbeaten in league play.
 
In his 25 seasons as the helm of Knights basketball, Peth has collected 380 wins, three conference champions, one conference championship tournament, and two NCAA tournament appearances. Coach Peth has recorded numerous accolades at the helm of Wartburg men's basketball
 
Peth started his coaching career at the University of Denver (Division II), collecting 221 wins in 12 seasons. Peth was inducted in the University of Denver's athletic hall of fame in the 2020 class. Peth was part of the Pioneers' 79-game win streak from Feb. 12, 1980 to January 5, 1985 as an assistant coach. Peth remains the winningest coach in the University of Denver history and second in all-time winning percentage.
 
Peth is one of two active Division III men's basketball head coaches with at least 600 career victories.
