WAVERLY, Iowa - Wartburg men's tennis will continue its spring schedule when it travels to Moline, Ill. for a nonconference match against Augustana College on Friday, Feb. 26 at 5:45 p.m. at the Quad City Tennis Club. The contest will mark just the fourth time the two programs have met since the 2010 season.Â
The Knights (3-3, 0-1 A-R-C) come into the matchup coming off a 6-3 defeat to the hands of UW-La Crosse on Sunday, Feb. 21. Junior
Lucas Huffman headlined the contest when he came away with wins in both the No. 1 singles and doubles matches and was awarded the A-R-C men's tennis player of the week for his performance. Freshman
Jackson Eells also recorded two victories when he won his doubles match and his No. 2 singles competition.Â

Nile Petersen pace the Knights in singles play with a 4-2 record while Huffman stands alone in doubles with a team-best 4-2 ledger. Wartburg is a combined 19-17 in singles play and 8-10 in doubles.Â
Augustana is yet to compete in this academic year as they did not have a fall season. In fact, the Vikings have not competed in 355 days with their last competition coming back on March, 7, 2020. Augustana concluded the 2019-20 campaign with an 8-2 record.

Per the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rule, there will be no spectators allowed at the match.
