WAVERLY, Iowa - The No. 16-ranked Wartburg College softball team is set for a pair of American Rivers Conference matchups, hosting Nebraska Wesleyan University this Friday-Saturday prior to a doubleheader at Luther College on Monday.
The three-game series between Wartburg and Nebraska Wesleyan begins with a doubleheader on Friday, April 2 at 3 p.m., concluding with one more game on Saturday at noon.
Spectators are permitted to attend Wartburg outdoor athletic events and are required to follow campus masking and social distancing guidelines. Fans must all wear face masks outdoors when we cannot absolutely guarantee a physical distance of at least six feet from others. Details HERE.Â

Wartburg swept Simpson College last weekend at Lynes Field, outscoring the Storm 29-3 during three games.
SHERWOOD AND NELSON GARNER A-R-C WEEKLY AWARDS
Wartburg swept the A-R-C Softball weekly player of the week awards, with
Kaci Sherwood named the Position Player of the Week and
Ashley Nelson awarded the Pitcher of the Week. Sherwood as also named the A-R-C Female Athlete of the Week.
Versus Simpson, Sherwood led the Knights' offense during the series victory, recording a .571 batting average with eight runs batted in, including three home runs.
Nelson pitching nine innings without an earned run against Simpson. She picked up a pair of wins, including a complete game on Saturday.

The Knights moved up from No. 19 to No. 16 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Top 25 Poll. Wartburg is one of two A-R-C teams ranked, slotted behind the University of Dubuque at No. 18.
