WAVERLY, Iowa - Wartburg women's tennis endured an 8-1 home defeat on Wednesday, April 14 against UW-La Crosse in a nonconference match inside the Hoover Fieldhouse.
The Knights (14-7) will concluded regular-season play on Wednesday, April 21 when they host Central College (5-4) at home in a nonconference contest with first serve set for 4 p.m.
The duo of
Sydney Rottinghaus and
Amber Laube collected the lone doubles victory for Wartburg at the No. 3 position and the Knights went into the singles competition with a 2-1 deficit. Senior Rottinghaus and freshman
Georgia Nissen each took their opponent to three sets in singles but ultimately fell short. The Orange & Black were unable to string together victories in singles and were upended by the Eagles, 8-1.
