WAVERLY, Iowa - Wartburg women's tennis will travel to Madison, Wis. on Saturday, April 10 for a match against Edgewood College at 1:30 p.m. at Quann Park. The Knights and Eagles have met just three previous times with the first contest coming back in 2008.
The Orange & Black (14-5) come into the match following a 1-2 weekend that saw them defeat UW-River Falls and suffer losses against Gustavus and St. Catherine. Sophomore
Olivia Phillips leads the Knights with an 11-7 ledger in both doubles and singles.
Madison Overmann is close behind in the doubles competition with a 10-5 tally and has played at the No. 1 singles position all year and has totaled seven wins. As a team, Wartburg is 65-45 in singles and 34-20 in doubles.
The Eagles of Edgewood are yet to compete in this academic year as they did not play in the fall. A season ago, Edgewood finished with a 13-3 overall record and a 9-0 tally in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
