DECORAH, Iowa - The Wartburg women's tennis team saw its 2020-21 season come to an end in the American Rivers Conference Automatic Qualifier Tournament Finals, falling 5-0 against Luther College.
The Knights earned the No. 2 seed for the tournament after finishing second in the 2020 A-R-C standings with a 7-1 record, its only loss coming against the No. 1-seeded Norse.
Wartburg downed No. 3 seed Simpson College 5-0 on Friday to advance to the finals.Â
Top-seeded Luther went up 3-0 after doubles and earned singles wins at the No. 4 and 5 singles spots to clinch the win, securing a spot in the NCAA Tournament.Â
