th nationally by the United Soccer Coaches poll and ranked in the No. 1 position in the region IX rankings. Augsburg is also in Wartburg's region and is ranked #4 in the first regular season poll. This will be the first region IX ranked matchup for the Knights this season.

Last Time Out
Wartburg traveled to Eau Claire, Wis. on Wednesday, Sept. 15 where they defeated the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds by a score of 4-1. It was a career day for
Joy Smith, who had a career-high three goals against the Blugolds coming off three total shots.
Gabby Corday also netted a goal for the Knights in the victory while
Sarah Campbell,
Kate Luers and
Annie Place all recorded assists. The win continues the Orange & Black's undefeated start and marks the second time this season scoring four goals in a match.
Augsburg
The Auggies also have started the season undefeated and picked up a big win against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, who is ranked 8
th in the region IX poll. Augsburg's only non-win came against the Knight's most recent opponent, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the match finished as a double overtime draw. This will be the 10
th meeting between the schools and the series is dead-even at four wins and a draw for each school. The last matchup was at Augsburg in 2018 and the Knights came away with a 3-1 victory.
