CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa—Katie Foster earned her third straight American Rivers Conference honors, being named Defensive Player of the Week.

Foster and the #16 Wartburg Knights swept won all four matches last week, improving to 12-0 on the season. Foster recorded 86 digs in the libero position for the Knights, while tallying 19 in the conference opener. Foster's best performance of the weekend came against UW-La Crosse, where she tallied 29 digs. Foster was named Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 7 and Sept. 13, 2021, for her nineteenth honor.

The Knights defeated Buena Vista (3-1) in the conference opener before sweeping Hamline, UW-La Crosse, and Elmhurst.
