WAVERLY, Iowa – Wartburg women's tennis is slated for a busy day of competition Saturday, Oct. 2 as they will have a split squad with half the team traveling to Seward, Neb. At 9 a.m. and then Orange City, Iowa at 3 p.m. while the other half travels to Storm Lake, Iowa at 9 a.m. and then Lincoln, Neb. in the afternoon for a pair of conference matchups.

Last Time Out
The Knights were in action last on Tuesday, Sept. 28 as they were defeated by Loras College 5-4 in a A-R-C showdown. Wartburg had wins in singles play from
Caroline Hutchinson at the number three position and
Georgia Nissen in the sixth spot, both in straight sets.
The team of
Natalie Kaiser and
Meadow LaDuke won in the No. 1 doubles spot and the duo of
Alyssa Guse and
Ambriel Jacobs won in the two positions for the Knights. Kaiser and LaDuke are now 3-1 as a duo for the Orange & Black.
Concordia University
The Bulldogs have only played in tournaments thus far and will have their first dual against Wartburg in Seward, Ned. In the Great Plains Athletic Conference Individual Tournament, Concordia's best finish came from Julia Phillips who reached the semifinals in her flight of singles.
Buena Vista
The Beavers are winless coming into this competition and have had three conference matches this season. The Knights are 40-4 against Buena Vista and have won 19 straight dating back to 2002.
Northwestern
The Raiders are 1-0 this season with the one match coming against Buena Vista. Northwestern also had representation in the GPAC Individual Tournament. Brailey Delao is 1-0 in both singles and doubles play to start the season for the Raiders.
Nebraska Wesleyan
The Prairie Wolves are 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the A-R-C to start the fall season. The last time on the court for NWU was a 9-0 loss to Doane University. The Prairie Wolves will host Luther College before the match with Wartburg. The Orange & Black are 5-0 all-time against NWU with the first matchup coming in 2016.
