Knights Schedule

Last Time Out
The Knights are now 3-0 to start the season and are coming off a 2-1 win against St. Olaf Tuesday, Sept. 7. The Orange & Black dominated the match offensively with big advantages in both shots, and shots on goal with 21 shots (11 on goal) to 9 (5 on goal). Both Sarah Campbell and Joy Smith netted their second goal each of the season in this match for Wartburg's only goals of the match. Those goals would be enough to hold on and win despite a late goal and push from St. Olaf in the last 10 minutes of the match.

Illinois Wesleyan University
Wartburg will open the weekend road trip Saturday, Sept 11 against Illinois Wesleyan University who enters the contest with a 1-2 record. The Titans opened the season with a 4-3 win over Simpson College in double-overtime. Illinois Wesleyan would follow that win with a trip to the Washington & Lee Invitational in Lexington City, VA where they were beat in both contests by Bridgewater College as well as Washington & Lee College. The Titans did not score in those contests, losing 1-0 and 3-0, but have four different athletes with one goal this season. This will be the first matchup in women's soccer for the two teams in school history.

Dominican University (Ill.)
After Saturday's game in La Crosse, Wisc., the Knights are back again for Sunday's neutral site matchup with Dominican University. The Stars have played two matches this year and both had 1-0 final scores. In the season opener, Dominican won at home against Elmhurst University in regulation thanks to an early goal. The first road test for the Stars resulted in a loss to Loras College in Dubuque. The Knights and Stars have met one time before this upcoming contest, in the 2010 season, where Wartburg won with a score of 1-0.
