Wartburg, Collet Win Dan Huston Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa--  The No. 4 Wartburg men's cross country won its annual Dan Huston Invite Saturday with 29 points. The field featured one other ranked team in No. 11 WashU.

This meet is named in honor of Dan Huston, a 1985 Wartburg alum, who was tragically killed in a carjacking incident on Sept. 9, 1994 in Washington D.C. Huston was a member of the cross country and track and field teams and was a 1985 All-American in the steeplechase, as he placed third. He graduated summa cum laude from Wartburg. Huston was an attorney with Reid & Priest at the time of his death. He was the youngest of seven children born and raised in Waverly, Iowa.
