The Series
St. John's holds the all-time series lead at 3-1, but the Knights won the most recent meeting 21-10 in 2014 in Waverly. The Johnnies won the other NCAA playoff meeting, back in 1994, 42-14, in Collegeville.Â
Wartburg
This marks the 15
th appearance in the NCAA Playoffs for the Knights.Â
The Knights broke an 80-year old school record three weeks ago with their fifth shutout of the season. The previous mark was four set in 1942.
