WAVERLY, Iowa – Men's tennis won its 11
th straight matchup after defeating Central College 6-3 at home. The Knights are now 21-7 overall and move to 3-1 in American Rivers Conference play.
How It Happened
The Orange & Black took both number one and two doubles with the teams of
Lucas Huffman/
Jackson Eells and
Cade Davis/
Griffin Steiniger both securing wins.
Huffman added another win in number one doubles to move to 17-3 on the season and extend his records. His partner Eells earned a singles win in the third position after dropping the first set and then winning the next two. Ells is now 12-7 overall in singles play and 8-6 in the number three spot.
AJ Wilkins and
Kyle Sehlin closed out the conference victory with wins in the fifth and sixth position respectively. Wilkins moves to 4-0 to remain undefeated in the fifth spot and Sehlin is now 10-2 on the season at number six singles.
Next Time Out
The Knight's will continue A-R-C play with a home matchup against Luther on Tuesday, Apr. 26.
