CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Women's tennis was defeated 5-0 in the first round of the American Rivers Conference Automatic Qualifier tournament on Tuesday, Apr. 26.
The duo of
Georgia Nissen and
Chihiro Ono came close to giving the Knights a win in doubles play but were edged 8-7 to end the match.
There were four singles matches that were unfinished and the Knights lost the other two matches that were finished. Nissen was again close to a win in number three singles, but she fell 7-5 in set one before the match was left unfinished.
Meadow LaDuke finishes the season with a mark of 12-11 overall and 9-8 in number one singles.
Natalie Kaiser closed the season with the most singles wins with a record of 16-8 overall and 11 of her wins coming at the number two spot. Together as a team LaDuke and Kaiser teamed for the most wins with a record of 12-8 overall and 10 of those wins were in the number one position.
The Knights close the 2021-22 season with an overall record of 12-15 and a mark of 4-4 in conference play.
