WAVERLY, Iowa—Ben Woods has been named the Assistant Sports Information Director at Wartburg College, KatieJo Svenson, Sports Information Director, announced today. He spent the last academic year with the Knights where he assisted with all areas of sports information. In addition, Woods trained student-workers on the NCAA Live Stats software.

Prior to Wartburg, Woods served as an athletic department intern for Hawkeye Community College and the University of Northern Iowa.

"Ben will be a tremendous asset to our Athletic Department and sports information department," said Svenson. "His knowledge and previous experience with Wartburg athletics will be a great addition to the SID staff as we continue to tell the story of Wartburg Athletics."

The Marion, Iowa, native graduated from UNI in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in marketing management.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue working with Wartburg athletics," said Woods.

Woods began his duties July 11.
