WAVERLY, Iowa —The Wartburg football team (2-0 overall) defeated UW-Stout (0-1) 27-0 in the home opener Saturday night. With the win, the Knights move to 14-0 overall in night home openers in the Walston-Hoover Stadium era (since 2001.

• Hunter Clasen rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown.
• Nile McLaughlin threw for 182 yards and one touchdown.
• Carter Henry led the team with 55 receiving yards on four catches.
• Jordan Downing led the defense with nine tackles, one sack, and one tackle for loss.
