Men's Soccer Unbeaten Streak Snapped by Loras

WAVERLY, Iowa – Men's soccer suffered its first lost of the season after a 2-0 loss to Loras at home on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The Knights are now 6-1-6 overall and move to 2-1-2 in American Rivers Conference play.

  • First Half
    • Loras threatened early with a corner kick that led to a shot on goal saved by Brennon Woody
    • A header from Dani Galiana Torres in the 11th minute put the Duhawks up 1-0 early in the match
    • Aidan Mott tried to respond for the Knights, but his shot was saved by the keeper in the 16th minute
    • After defending back-to-back corner kicks from Loras, Wartburg was called for a foul that resulted in a Loras penalty kick
      • Reed Miklavcic netted the attempt to make the score 2-0
    • Mott had another shot on goal denied in the 26th minute
    • Late in the half, Wartburg attempted a corner kick that resulted in a shot on goal from Curtis Ratzer that a Loras defender saved at the last minute
