Men's Basketball Fall to UW-La Crosse on the Road

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Men's basketball fell to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in its first road game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 25. The Knights are now 1-5 overall and remain 1-0 in American Rivers Conference play.
 
Game Summary
  • First Half
    • Trent Allard found Richie Rosenblum for a three pointer to start the game
      • Allard scored himself the next possession to put Wartburg ahead 5-2 early
    • Isaac Besh and Luke Ladwig both scored for Wartburg to make the score 10-10 with 12:34 left in the half
    • UW-La Crosse went on a 18-4 run before free throws from Rosenblum cut the lead to 28-16 with 6:30 until halftime
    • Besh's second three ball of the night cut the lead to 10 for Wartburg
    • Rosenblum and Ladwig both made three pointers to cut the lead to eight, but the Eagles scored six more points before half to take a 42-30 lead into the break
  • Second Half
    • UW-La Crosse scored the opening four points of the half, but Besh buried another three to stop Eagle momentum
    • The Eagles opened up their lead to 28 points with 13:18 to play after a 22-7 run following Besh's three pointer
    • Besh and Ethan Yungtum connected on three pointers to cut the lead to 20 with just over 12 minutes left
    • Carter Cuvelier converted an and one play and Drake Wemark took a steal coast to coast, but the Eagles lead remained 20 with 8:12 left to play
    • The Eagles had an answer for every Wartburg run and cruised to a 93-70 win
