NASHVILLE, Tenn. – No. 7/7 women's basketball responded to yesterday's loss with an 89-40 win over DePauw University to wrap up play in the Music City Classic. Wartburg is now 10-1 overall and remains 4-0 in American Rivers Conference play.

- After three pointers from Jaedon Murphy and Grace Hennessy, Lauren Woeste made a jumper to put Wartburg up 8-3 halfway through the first
- Sara Faber scored five straight points after a steal led to a layup and then Macy Harris found her for an open three to make the score 15-9
- Woeste scored four points at the end of the first to put Wartburg ahead by 10, but DePauw scored before the end of the first to make the score 21-13

- The Knights went on a 10-2 run midway through the quarter, led by five points from Murphy, to go up 37-19 with just under three minutes left in the half

- The Knights opened the half with a driving layup from Murphy and then three balls from Harris and Hennessy to push the lead over 30 points
- Wartburg continued to run away with the game, going on a 10-2 run led by eight points from Hennessy
- Lauren Golinghorst scored in the paint and then Faber connected from three-point range to put Wartburg ahead 68-27 heading to the fourth
- Fourth Quarter
- Faber converted a three-point play to begin the fourth and Wartburg led 76-31 with 7 minutes remaining
- Golinghorst went on a nine point run led by two three pointers and a three-point play
- A layup from Finley Fitzgerald put the Knights up 51, but DePauw scored in the final minute to make the final score 89-40
