WAVERLY, Iowa – No. 7/7 women's basketball opened up play at its own holiday tournament with an 86-42 rout of Crown College on Friday, Dec. 29. The Knights are now 11-1 overall and remains 4-0 in American Rivers Conference play.

- After early baskets from Crown, both Sara Faber and Macy Harris scored in the paint to make the score 5-4
- The Knights tied the game at nine after a three from Grace Hennessy and then took their first lead after a Lauren Woeste layup to make the score 11-9 halfway through the first

- The Knights came out firing to start the second, with three pointers from Taylor Runchey, Hennessy and Harris to put Wartburg ahead 33-18 just two minutes into the period
- A Jaedon Murphy three ball put the Knights ahead by 20 with 4:30 left in the half
- Wartburg closed the half on a 12-0 run capped off by three pointers from Lauren Golinghorst and Britney Young

- The Knights dominated the third quarter, coming out of the half on a 19-0 run to go up 71-22 with 2:35 left in the third quarter
- Faber and Murphy combined for the first nine points of the run
- Harris and Young both made three's in the run
- Wosete scored two at the line and Finley Fitzgerald made an and-one layup
- Fitzgerald took a steal coast-to-coast to close the third and Wartburg led 73-29
- Fourth Quarter
- Layups from Murphy and Woeste kept the Knights up 40+ points halfway through the fourth
- Wartburg continued to score as Ava Tretin scored twice in the paint and Tatum Grubbs scored five points capped off by a three pointer
