FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Wartburg women's lacrosse was defeated 13-6 to on the road against Marian University on Sunday, Mar. 19. The Knights are now 1-4 overall this season.
 
Game Summary

• First Period       
  • Marian got on the board first with two goals in the first two minutes
  • Wartburg tied it up with 6:05 left in the first period after goals from Beka Gershenoff and Britta Solheim
  • Marian closed the period with two more goals and led 4-2
• Second Period
  • The Knights started the second period with goal from Gershenoff and Solheim to tie the game again
    • Solheim's goal was assisted by Lindsay Langford
  • Marian scored with 8:21 left in the half to make it 5-4 and then neither team scored the rest of the half
• Third Period
  • Marian came out of the half and outscore Wartburg 4-1 in the third to take a 9-5 lead
  • Wartburg's lone goal in the third was an unassisted goal from Gershenoff

  • Gershenoff scored again in the fourth period to cut the lead to 10-6 with 9:36 left to play
  • Marian closed the game on a 3-0 run to win 13-6
