BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— The Wartburg softball team won both games Sunday at Illinois Wesleyan's tournament. The Knights held off UW-Stout 7-6, and won 10-2 in six innings over DePauw.
UW-Stout
- Kaylie Springer scored on Reegan Deputy's triple to right center for the first run. Deputy later scored on Sydney Fellows' RBI groundout to take the 2-0 lead
- Pitcher Tarah Wehde helped her own cause in the second on a two-run homer to left center to push the lead to 4-0.
- The Blue Devils got on the scoreboard in the third on an RBI single.
- In the fifth, Alexis Larson drove in Lauren Frerichs on her single to left.
- In the sixth, Fellows hit a two-run homer to left to make it 7-1.
- UW-Stout used a two-run homer of its own in the sixth and a solo round tripper with one out in the seventh to make it 7-4.
- The Blue Devils added two more in the frame, and had the bases loaded with two outs. The next batter popped out to third to end the rally.

- Hannah Happ went 3-3
- Fellows went 1-4 with three RBIs, a home run
- Wehde was 1-3 with two RBIs, and a home run. She also pitched 5.0 innings and had five strikeouts
- Deputy was 1-5 with a triple
- Lauren Frerichs was 2-1 with a triple
- The Knights had six stolen bases
DePauw
- Illg hit a solo homer in the first to give the Orange and Black the early lead
- Deputy slugged a three-run homer in the third to extend the margin
- The Tigers got on the scoreboard in the fourth
- The Orange and Black used a four-run fourth inning to make it 8-1
- DePauw plated one in the fifth on an RBI double
- In the fifth, Illg scored from second on an RBI groundout from Fellows
- Ally Happ scored in the sixth to seal the run-rule victory
