ANGOLA, Ind.—The Wartburg softball team (25-17 overall) advanced to the Regional Championship for the second-straight year in the 8-0 five inning victory over No. 23 Millikin (31-11) Friday afternoon.

How it happened

• In the top of the first, Ella Link drove in Reegan Deputy on her sac fly, and Kaylie Springer scored on a bases loaded walk
• In the top of the second, Deputy scored on a bases loaded walk; Springer scored as Link was hit by pitch; Sydney Fellows later scored on bases loaded walk
• In the top of the third, Deputy hit an inside the park home run to right field. This also drove in Tarah Wehde to make it 7-0
• In the top of the fifth, Fellows hit a triple to right center field which drove in Springer

• Reegan Deputy: 1-2, 3 runs, 2 RBIs, inside the park HR
