ANGOLA, Ind.-- The Wartburg softball team (25-18 overall) fell 4-1 to No. 5 Trine in the NCAA Tournament Regional Championship Saturday.

Reegan Deputy, Sydney Fellows, Ella Link, and Kaylie Springer were named to the All-Tournament team.


How it happened

• In the bottom of the first, Trine hit a two-run double to right centerfield.
• In the bottom of the fourth, Trine had another two-run double to right centerfield.
• In the top of the seventh, with two outs, Link hit a solo homer just over the left field fence. 
• Link's home run was the only run Trine had surrendered all weekend.

Top performers

• Link was 1-3 with the home run.
• Fellows was 1-3 with a double.
• Deputy was 1-3.
