INDIANOLA, Iowa – No. 10/13 women's basketball continued its American Rivers Conference winning streak with a 72-46 win over Simpson College on the road Saturday, Jan. 27. Wartburg is now 18-2 overall and remain perfect in A-R-C play at 11-0.

- Sara Faber started the game with a three pointer and then got a steal on the defensive end that led to a layup to make the score 5-0 Wartburg early
- A Jaedon Murphy steal led to a Macy Harris jump shot and then Britney Young continued the Knights run with a three pointer that was assisted by Taylor Runchey
- Knights led 10-3 halfway through the quarter
- Simpson went on a 10-3 run to tie the game at 13-13 before Lauren Woeste put the Knights back in front 15-13 with 2:23 left in the first
- The Storm continued its run to go up 20-15, but Runchey found Young open for a three pointer again to cut the Simpson lead to 20-18 after the first quarter

- Young started the second with a three to give the Knights the lead and Lauren Golinghorst added one at the free throw line to make the score 22-20
- Woeste and Golinghorst scored the next six points in the paint to push the lead to 28-23 with 7:01 left to play in the half
- Simpson cut the lead to two, but buckets from Grace Hennessy, Harris and Murphy kept Wartburg in front 34-26
- Knights continued the run and extended the lead to 45-28 at the break

- Third Quarter
- After two minutes of scoreless play to start the second half, Faber connected on a three and then Golinghorst scored in the paint to make the lead 50-30
- Wartburg continued to stretch the lead led by six straight points from Murphy to put the Knights in front 58-30 with 2:28 left in the third
- Faber and Woeste both scored from the free throw line to close the third quarter with a 61-30 lead
- Fourth Quarter
- Faber and Murphy both scored after a Simpson layup to begin the final quarter
- Golinghorst and Natalie Bearbower both scored at the free throw line
- Olivia Baxter continued the offensive success with four straight points in the paint to close out a 72-46 road win
