WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg volleyball team (12-5 overall, 2-0 American Rivers Conference) defeated Coe (11-6, 1-1) 3-2 Saturday (25-12, 25-10, 17-25, 16-25, 15-8).

- Koudelka tied her career-high in kills
- Defensively, the Knights held the Kohawks to a .097 team hitting percentage
- Wartburg held all but one advantage in the team categories as blocks were even at 10 each
- Coe took its first lead of the day in set three as it jumped to a 4-0 lead to start that set
- The fourth set started close until the Kohawks took the 7-4 lead and continued to build to their margin
- In the fifth set, Coe led 5-2
- The Orange and Black battled back to knot it at five all and then pushed the lead to 9-5
- Wartburg continues to own the series lead at 43-15-1
- This win halted a two-match losing streak in the series for the Knights
- Coe was picked as the preseason favorite in the conference coaches poll
