WAVERLY, Iowa – No. 2/2 women's basketball defeated Knox College 80-64 on the road Wednesday, Nov. 13 behind a 53-point second half from the Knights. The Knights are now 3-0 to start the season after three nonconference matchups.

- First Quarter
- Lauren Woeste scored the first four points for the Knights, but Wartburg trailed 6-4 after just under four minutes of play
- A Sara Faber free throw followed by back-to-back baskets from Jaedon Murphy gave Wartburg its first lead (9-8) with 4:15 remaining in the quarter
- Lauren Golinghorst and Jenna Saunders both scored to push the Wartburg lead to 13-10

- After an early Knox score, Hennessy answered for the Knights with a layup and the foul to cut the lead to 32-30
- The Knights took the lead after a 7-0 run led by four straight points from Murphy and a three pointer from Faber
- Wartburg led 37-32 with 6:17 left in the third
- Wartburg's offense exploded for 19 points to close the third quarter with a 56-44 lead over Knox
- Hennessy made two threes and Golinghorst made one three on the run, while Woeste also scored six in the paint
- Fourth Quarter
- After an early basket from Woeste and a free throw from Murphy, Wartburg led 59-45 with just over eight minutes left to play
- Knox continued to fight and cut the lead to under 10 multiple times over the next two minutes
- Wartburg extended its lead when Saunders found Faber for a three and then reversed the roles when Faber assisted Saunders on a three the next possession
- The Knight led 67-52 with under five minutes to play
- Woeste scored four and Hennessy scored three points over the final minutes to keep Wartburg in front and the Knights closed out an 80-66 win over the Prairie Fire
