WAVERLY, Iowa – No. 2/2 women's basketball continued its nonconference schedule with a 72-42 win over Bethany Lutheran College at home on Friday, Nov. 22. The win pushes Wartburg to 5-0 overall to begin the 2024-25 season and moves Bethany Lutheran to 1-4 overall.

- Sara Faber and Grace Hennessy got the scoring started in this game after a free throw from Faber and a basket from Hennessy

- Faber scored the first two points of the third quarter for the Knights and Wartburg led 48-19 after two minutes of play
- After splitting a pair of free throws, Hennessy buried a three pointer to make the score 52-19 with 6:47 left in the quarter
- The Knights continued its run when both Faber and Brylee Seaman made three pointers to push the lead to 61-25
- Murphy closed the third with a layup to make the score 63-25 to close the quarter
- Fourth Quarter
- Maggie Wilkins scored two points at the free throw line and then Seaman made her second three of the night to give Wartburg a 68-28 lead
- After a 6-0 run from Bethany Lutheran, Brooke Meeks found Ava Trettin for a layup and Wartburg led 70-34 with 3:24 left to play
- Trettin scored two more points at the free throw line to close out a 72-42 win over the Vikings
