DECORAH, Iowa – No. 2/2 women's basketball (6-0, 1-0 A-R-C) went on the road and defeated Luther College (4-1, 0-1 A-R-C) 78-62 in the first American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) action of the season for both teams.

- First Quarter
- The Knights' first basket of the game was a three pointer from Jaedon Murphy with an assist from Britney Young
- Sara Faber scored five of the next six points for Wartburg and the Knights led 9-7 with 5:05 left in the opening quarter
- Murphy, Faber and Lauren Woeste all scored to give Wartburg a 15-9 lead, but Luther battled back to make it 15-13 after one quarter

- The Knights jumped out to a 20-13 lead after a three pointer from Murphy and a layup from Woeste
- Wartburg went on an 8-2 run to make the score 30-19 with 5:25 left in the half after back-to-back threes from Young and Murphy followed by a Faber layup
- Wartburg closed the half with four three pointers in the final four minutes of the half to make it 44-27 at the break

- Luther came out of halftime and went on an 8-2 run to cut Wartburg's lead to 11 points
- Faber went 2/2 from the free throw line to stop the run and then minutes later she recorded a steal and found an open Grace Hennessy for three to make the score 51-37 with 6:59 left in the third
- The Knights continued to build a lead after going on a 14-8 run led by seven straight points from Lauren Golinghorst
- Woeste scored the final five points of the quarter and Wartburg led 67-47 after three quarters
- Fourth Quarter
- The Norse began the quarter on a 6-2 run after two made three pointers but a layup from Murphy put the Knights back up by 18 with just over six minutes left
- Hennessy got to the free throw line, where she made both attempts to stop another Luther run
- Wartburg led 73-58 with less than four minutes to play
- Faber scored four of the final five points to close out a 78-62 victory on the road
