WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg softball team (12-9 overall) swept Saint Benedict's (2-11) Friday. The Knights won the opener 7-1, and held on to win the finale, 6-5.

- Pinch-hitter Rylie Metz drove in the go-ahead run on her sacrifice fielder's choice that plated pinch runner Ally Happ.

- St. Ben's threatened again as bases were loaded with two outs. Nelson got a huge strikeout as the batter was called out on strikes.
- Wartburg added another as Wehde scored on Springer's fielders choice

- The Bennies had bases loaded with two outs. The next two batters were retired to quell the threat
