Coaches Comments
"The top of our order has been playing great and today was another example with Keaton, Eliot and Zach having big parts of the game one win." said Head Coach
Casey Klunder in his post game thoughts following today's doubleheader.
"It was really cool to see a lot of our Minnesota guys come back to their home state and play well." said Klunder. Today's lineup featured five players from Minnnesota (
Aiden Tobin, Lance Goecehel,
Hunter Sehr,
Gavin Lund and
Zach Walton).
Klunder continued by talking about his relief pitching today, "I have to start with
Kyle Thompson, who continues to be rock solid for us out of the bullpen.
Conner Funk had another good outing outside of one big swing,". He continued onto game two, "
Gavin Lund was solid for us in game two outside of a big fourth inning, but that was the longest we've asked him to go this season.
Hunter Sehr also gave us some good innings in the end."
"I think this trip was an overall success because we were able to get some of our guys who have been in and out of the lineup back on track on both sides of the ball." said Klunder on his feelings after today's doubleheader. "It was also a great opportunity to let
Will Armstrong make his debut at shortstop, which was awesome to see him back in the field."
