DUBUQUE, Iowa— The Wartburg softball team (21-12 overall, 7-3 American Rivers) split with Loras (18-14, 5-7) Tuesday afternoon. The Duhawks won the first game 3-1, but the Knights won the finale 1-0.

Second inning
- After a sacrifice bunt, the Orange and Black had runners on second and third with two outs. Unfortunately, the next hitter struck out to strand the runners.
- Loras got on the board first with a two-run double
- The next batter traded spots with the runner to make it 3-0

- Ella Link drove in Hassel on her double down the left field line

- The Knights did not have a baserunner advance past second until this inning.
- With two outs, Springer reached on an error, Carley Bredar moved to second and Amanda Strzyzewski advanced to third.
- Unfortunately, the next batter struck out to strand the runners and halt any additional scoring threat.
- The Duhawks never had a baserunner advance past second in this game
