PELLA, Iowa-- The Wartburg softball team (23-16 overall) fell 4-1 to Luther (28-13) in the American Rivers Conference Tournament Friday afternoon.

Third

• Reagan Hassel scored on  Kaylie Springer's fielder's choice to make it 1-0

Fourth

• Luther looked to even the score as it had a runner on third with two outs. She was stranded as the next batter flew out to center

Fifth

• After a bases loaded walk with two outs, Abby Spore doubled to left center to clear the bases and take the  3-1 lead
• Next batter drove in Spore for the 4-1 lead
• Next batter flew out to right to end the rally

Sixth

• Luther looked to add to its total as it had runners on second and third with two outs. The next batter grounded out to second to leave them stranded.

Seventh

• Both teams were retired in order to seal the win for Luther

Notes:

• Wartburg still leads the series in the tournament against Luther, 5-2
• Wartburg was unable to get an extra base hit in this contest
