Coaches Comments
"What a luxury it is to have a guy like
Cael Boehmer," said Head Coach
Casey Klunder following game one. "Going through this season he has beaten a lot of good aces throughout these game ones over the conference season. It's been a real joy to coach him."
Â
"I thought we were aggressive offensively all game beginning with
Caleb Andrews' early homer toand then we really broke it open there in the sixth inning," said Klunder. "I thought it was a complete 180 degree difference in our aggressiveness at the plate in game one from our game last Tuesday."
Â
Coach Klunder talked about the preparation that went into
Aiden Tobin's first career home run, "I give him a ton of credit, he's been watching a ton of film and breaking down his at bats so he definitely deserves the success he saw today."
Â
Following game two, Klunder talked about the importance of a deep batting lineup, "It was crucial for us to have batters be aggressive at the plate and having guys make plays for us 1-9 in the batting order."
Â
"Will came into the game in a really tough spot in game two, especially with few innings pitched the past few games," said Klunder about the closing efforts of
Will Armstrong in game two. "Joey just keeps getting better and better as we go along," said Klunder on his game two starter. "It's been a lot of fun to watch him compete this season."
