WAVERLY, Iowa – Wartburg has added to its athletic training staff with the hire of Mackenzie Nuss as announced by Associate Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer
Ryan Callahan.
Nuss joins the Wartburg staff after spending the last five years at Cedar Valley Medical Specialists as both an outreach athletic trainer and an orthoagility athletic trainer. She also has athletic training experience at both the youth and high school levels as well as internship experience with professional teams, such as the Arizona Diamondbacks and Iowa Cubs.
Nuss earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and continued her education with a master's degree from Western Michigan University.
"Kenzie is an experienced athletic healthcare provider that we are excited to welcome to Wartburg," said Callahan. "Her passion for serving student-athletes was apparent throughout the search process and I am confident she will have a positive impact on our department."
Nuss began her duties on Monday, Aug. 5.
